Q1. Why should I store my records with O&H Archival Warehouse?
Answer. Deciding to store your records off site can be a difficult decision and there are many factors to consider when selecting the company to provide a solution. Service, location, security, price and technology are a just a few of the points to consider in addition to releasing office space and reducing wasted time and effort of your own staff.
Q2. Will my records be safe with O&H?
Answer. Yes. We have gone to a great deal of trouble to ensure your records will be stored in a very secure environment. Our building is constructed of brick and has a full range of security measures including CCTV, 24hr links to a remote monitoring station and smoke detection. The fact that your records are stored off your site is better for you as if your own building is damaged then your off site records will be safe.
Q3. How are O&H different from other storage providers?
We aim to provide a first class service that exceeds the expectations of our customers. We provide management of your documents rather than just storage and this reduces the risk of your own staff involved in looking after your records. You do not have to come to our site to collect and deliver your records, although you can if you want, as we have a small van that will come to you.
Q4. How confidential is the service?
This is a very important issue to us. O&H has been established since 1919 and we are recognised as a very professional company that provides excellent customer service and has a proven track record in looking after confidential records. These include hospital patient records for a private hospital and the local health authority. Only three staff at O&H have access to the storage areas and they have been security cleared. We also have some separate lockable areas available if required. If confidentiality is a concern for you please discuss this with us in order that we can meet your requirements.
Q5. How quickly can my records be retrieved?
We promise that we will always do our utmost to get your records to you as quickly as possible. We deliver using our own staff and transport in the Hull and Beverley area and same day delivery is guaranteed for all requests received up to 3.30pm . In fact our van makes several trips every day and it is more than likely that you will receive your documents within a couple of hours.
Out of town customers decide for themselves how they wish the documents to be sent to them. We always retrieve the documents from storage on the same day and can post them or have them available for courier collection.
If you require collections/deliveries at set times we will accommodate that.
We are used to dealing with emergency requests and will always endeavour to help as part of the service. Customers are given home and mobile telephone numbers of staff and we offer a service 24 hrs a day 365 days per year.
Q6. Will I lose control of my records?
No, not at all. Your records are only ever a phone call away and will be delivered to you without leaving your desk and every box in storage with us has a unique number using a system agreed with you.
Q7. Will all my records be stored together?
They will all be stored at Wellington House, Beverley Road , Hull but not necessarily all in the same area of the warehouse. Our system is set up to use shelf space efficiently and as we know where every box is stored it is not vital that they are stored together. In fact this is added security for you by ensuring that all your records are not kept in one location.
Q8. Can I use my present archive boxes?
Yes of course you can. We only ask that your boxes should be in a reasonable condition, of a similar size to ours and not overfilled or collapsing. We will re-box if required
Q9. Can O&H provide storage boxes?
Yes we can provide flat pack boxes delivered to your offices at a very competitive price.
Q10. What hours do you work?
Our office hours are 8.00 am to 5.00pm , Monday to Friday. After hours contact for emergency deliveries is available if requested.
Q11. Can O&H provide me with a listing of my boxes?
Yes this can be done very easily either in hard copy format or we can send this to you via e-mail in Excel format.
Q12. Who delivers my records to me?
If you are a local customer in the Hull/Beverley area your documents are delivered to you by O&H staff. In this way our staff will become familiar with your office location and any special; requirements you may have.
